PaperCut Printing

Instructions for using Konica Minolta's PaperCut for printing at Acsenda School of Management.

1. What is PaperCut and/or Why the change?

PaperCut MF is a Print management application which provides an easy way to help users to manage their copying and printing throughout the organization, giving users control over their costs and environmental impact.

2. How will this change my job and/or what are the benefits?

PaperCut allows users to print to a shared print queue and release their print jobs from any multi-functional or printing device. It also protects valuable documents by enabling users to print securely using authentication to release their jobs, removing the need for desktop printers to maintain privacy/security

3. How do I change my PaperCut password?

Simply sign into the MyASM and change your password there. This will synchronize with PaperCut immediately.

4. What happen if I lose or forget my PIN, can I use the MFD?

Yes, a user can authenticate using one of 2 methods, either by typing their User Name and Password using the device touchscreen keyboard or by using a PIN to release their jobs and/or use the copier functions.

5. How do I log out and will the device log me out automatically?

To log out of any device, press the access/logout button on the operation panel or the device will log you out after 60 seconds of inactivity.

6. What happen to my prints if the MFD is very busy or out of order?

The Follow/Find Me feature allows you to retrieve your prints on any available MFD or print device. By signing in at a device, PaperCut will identify the device and present you with your print jobs to release.

7. What is my PaperCut balance, and how to I add additional value to my balance?

The balance within PaperCut reflects the value of printing you have available for use. As you make prints, copies or faxes (scanning is free), PaperCut will deduct the value of these prints from your balance. You can view your balance by signing into the PaperCut website. If you do not have enough balance remaining to complete a job, you will need to add value to your account. This can be done at the Front Desk of the campus.

8. How can I get the documents I want to print from my phone to the computer?

This can be done in a number of ways:

  • Ensure the document is available on your Microsoft 365 account, such as through email or saved on your OneDrive. All computers are equipped with Microsoft 365, so you will need to login to access your document.
  • Email it to yourself through Outlook, Gmail, or other email providers.

If you have difficulty with this step, you may ask the Front Desk for assistance, who will print your document for you.

Remember to log out of all accounts and your PaperCut account after printing!
